Pocket Universe - Astronomy App Reviews

I have a brand new iPad with up to date software, yet certain features of Pocket Universe froze on me. Once, I was unable to leave the "red ball calibration" screen, no matter what I tried. Even exiting the app and reopening it, was to no avail. Also due to another glitch, stats on the eight planets were way way off. For instance, Earth was once listed as having zero satellites.

Ive seen a few sky guide apps, but this one is my favorite. This app makes it easy for beginners to learn about different objects in the sky and to prove to your friends that bright thing in the sky is indeed a planet! Also, offers plenty of customizable display options for advance stargazers with telescopes for better nightly observational sessions. The night vision protection setting is very helpful, but for the next update, please extend it to the "Whats up" menu. I always use it in night vision but every time I hold down the "find" tab, a bright white background screen pops up with a list of red text suggestions. Then your eyes have to readjust to the darkness. Im sure this is a easy fix because the menu background just has to be darker to protect our night vision, and Im very satisfied with the app already. So even if it takes a while to be updated I still give Puniverse a 5 out of 5!

I would be emailing you a screen shot, but your email is not working. Instructions say email option is found under "About" but "About" does not exist. There is "Email" on a page from the main menu in the upper right corner but it fails to launch email. Anyway, my problem is the position of ISS will not refresh. I get a bold error that says it cant get to the Internet. If you want the screen shot, send a note to me and Ill give it to you. Please fix all this stuff!!

The app is always being updated with new stuff and fixes. On occasion new things create bugs but they get worked out every time. I have used this app for 7 years or so.

Thank you, very much for the passion you put in this app. We, that live in cloudy places, can finally enjoy some stars in the cozy our home place. I have been using this app for a long time and did not experience any fall back. (I read some very negative reviews and I really did not have any trouble. Lucky me :D ) I recommend it for all star passionate people, and for people that just want to see a full bright sky through the awful cloudy places up North, or even big illuminated cities. Version 5.9.3: It is still a great App and works in Latin America :) Am I a Galaxy?

I have been using universe since John first introduced it and i love this app. Ease of use and beginner friendly with lots of awesome features. I recommend this to all interested in the night sky. Friendswood, Texas

I think it would be very relevant to integrate a stereoscopic view for VR goggles. I know I personally would use that all the time.
