Works beautifully and has a fun side to it. The moon map is an awesome plus!

I really like this app. I think it would be even better with a direct link to the Moon Phases calendar right on the home screen. Look on!
Totally wrong. I can point at the moon & app says its a good 20-30 degrees off. Bummer...my boys wanted to pick the planets out.
This app is terrific, loaded with genuinely useful features. Updates are regular, represent excellent improvements, and are accompanied by delightful explanations. Wonderfully useful, easy to parse, works admirably well.
Continues to add features, years after we purchased this app. It also works in the daytime. In the northwest, the path of the sun varies dramatically over the course of a year. We predicted the path of the sun and assisted my son-in-law with where to plant a tree for maximal shade for the hottest room of the house
This is still getting updates…
This is the best star tracker Ive used!
This has been my go-to app for star gazing for years. Its not often to find something so well done which only continues to get better. To the developers:
Honest, alone or not I love to watch the universe above me carry on as my personal amusement ride, called planet Earth. Even better with the latest improvements. Have fun & learn something new every night!
The app is great. Updated often. Love the text on your updates! U r funny! Thanks.
Hands down the best astronomy app Ive ever used! I particularly enjoy the funny comments posted in the apps updates! Keep up the fantastic work.
Ive had the pleasure of this app for over two years and use it often. I cant imagine the effort it has taken to accomplish this level of sophistication. I give it 6 stars.
This app always help me find the planets I want to photograph. Ive used it since 2009 and its one of my favorite apps.
I love the app. I love the update stories. Users: the next time you update, make sure you look at the full view of "whats new" before clicking "update." The developer is giving us a view of life in rainy Seattle in addition to a view of the sky.
You know what? I am lazy and this is my second review in my lifetime. But I had to say this app is really good. I never tried any other sky map apps but then again I guess I never needed to. Ive had this since the 3G I had and when I use it I learn something. It also is obviously made by a dude and not some weird entity. Just buy it.
I cant rage on long enough about this app. Awesome integration using a smartphone to the max to solve an intriguing but common problem ("dad, what is that star over there?"). Ive always been interested in astronomy but could only wind up finding the north star 50% of the time. This blows away $20M planetariums - seriously. Burn those dopey plastic domes with scratchy black dots over a 5 watt bulb, making dad look like a moron on drugs pointing at ceiling specs. This is the gold standard. It should be required for every astronomy student starting in 3rd grade. (I teach elementary science, and my 3-7th graders love it!) the ability to hold your phone up to the sky and orient for you where everything is makes astronomy come alive. My students got very stoked when they found Betelgeuse on a cold Feb nite - they actually could see it blink red, once they were assured they were looking at the right star. And the notices for when comets are to appear - genius! Tracking the ISS ... its all waaaay cool!
I really enjoy looking at this with my family on the beach
I love this app
Ive been using Pocket Universe since I had my beloved iPhone 3, and it just keeps getting better. Its great for planning before heading out into the cold, espeacially when I want to show someone new the night skys wonders.
Great app! With all the great things about this app, I still sometimes enjoy the update summaries the best.
